  25. *** Special Instructions for Those With Only 1 Megabyte of RAM ***

  27.     When you are running the Miracle on a computer that has 
  28. only 1 megabyte of RAM, the Miracle takes certain precautions to
  29. ensure that it runs optimally.
  30.  
  31.     To assist the Miracle in preserving memory, please do 
  32. either of the following:
  33.  
  34.     - Boot directly from the Miracle1 disk 
  35.  
  36.             or 
  37.  
  38.     - Assure that no other programs (including any Shells or CLIs) 
  39. have been launched by WorkBench.  Also make sure no resident
  40. programs are loaded (such as screen blankers, mouse accelerators,
  41. etc.).
  42.  
  43.     The Miracle program will automatically close your Workbench screen 
  44. if possible in order to conserve memory.
  45.  
  46.  
  47. IF YOU HAVE A HARD DRIVE AND ONLY 1 MEGABYTE OF MEMORY you may need
  48. to reduce the memory even further.  Some hard drive controllers can
  49. use as much as 150K of RAM.  Try turning off all read/write caching
  50. and reduce the number of buffers for your hard drive.

  53.     ***** For best results:  We highly recommend additional RAM 
  54. (memory) and a hard disk.  Both these items will greatly enhance the 
  55. speed and ease of use of The Miracle Piano Teaching System software.
  56. Extra memory is probably the cheapest and easiest way to enhance
  57. the performance of the program.
